DOW JONES INDUSTRIALS
Change 10%

New York

August 24, 2020.

Three of the thirty, i.e. ten percent. of the components that constitute the Dow Jones Industrial Average (The 'Dow'), are set for removal and to be replaced, the owner of the bellwether index announced.
In a Press Release issued on August 24, 2020, S & P Dow Jones Indices, the proprietor of The Dow, advises that it shall be making the adjustments effective August 31, 2020, by deleting Exxon Mobil Corp., Pfizer Inc. and Raytheon Technologies Corp., and adding Amegen Inc., Honeywell International Inc. and SalesForce.com Inc.
These adjustments were prompted as a consequence of Apple Inc.'s impending 4 for 1 Stock Split, with the intention of offsetting the index's subsequent weight reduction, following the split on August, 31, 2020.
"This represents an opportunity for new businesses to be included in The Dow that better reflect the American Economy",   S & P Dow Jones Indices said.

Rival Suitors Vie To Acquire
Borsa Italiana

London
&
Milano

September 14, 2020.

Borsa Italiana is the subject of a bidding war, as interested parties are submitting offers to buy the Italian Stock Exchange from the current owner, London Stock Exchange Group plc (' The LSE').
Both Euronext and Deutsche Börse AG have 'thrown their hat in the ring', in a competition to secure the Milan based exchange, with reports from Reuters, that SIX Swiss Exchange, is set to join the contest, as a third competitor.
Following Britain's departure from the European Union ('The EU'), The LSE would be seen as a 'foreign' player in The EU regulated arena. Such a divestiture would therefore no doubt alleviate any regulatory difficulties that the LSE, may have otherwise encountered.
